A message from Eileen Martin, 62, a retired art teacher from the United States who came to Bolivia to volunteer in 2009 for four months but enjoyed it so much she has decided to come back in 2010 as our Grandparent Cultural Ambassador.....

"Dear seniors, friends of seniors, relatives of seniors, next door neighbor of seniors, the grandparent volunteer program is now open for business and I'm delighted to be its cultural ambassador because I want to help folks come and volunteer who might enjoy some structure and support, AND I want to help the babies get some holding and love.

I think having peers your age will be a bonus as it's been challenging for me to work with volunteers who start their night at 1-2 a.m. please give this a thought, share it with everybody you know.
