Hard Basket

Now what’s a hard basket you’re probably asking? The hard basket consists of our most difficult and challenging projects.

A serious challenge

Although possibly the most rewarding of all the projects we will try really hard to talk you out of these ones. They are tough – located in difficult, potentially dangerous or remote areas working with troubled children who may have endured abuse, sexual exploitation, drug addiction and difficult lives on the streets – but they are children who, with access to some creative expression will most likely stay in your hearts forever…

Experience required

For these projects we are looking for volunteers who have experience working with abused, abandoned children, children addicted to drugs, teen mothers sometimes as young as 11 and have experience living or working in a developing country for at least 3 months.

What to expect

We also need you to understand that your volunteer experience will be about the work and not about your social life due to the locations of the projects.
